History of 15th march :- On march 15,1962, the consumer protection bill was brought to the U.S. parliament by U.S. president John F. Kennedy. Therefor we celebrated consumer right day on 15th of march.
There were four rights in consumer protection bill following.
:- Right to consumer protection
:- Right to choose
:- Right to know
:- Right to hear.
Later,4 rights were added and as mention bellow
:- Right to consumer education
:- Right to recover losses
:- Right to clean environment
:- Right to basic needs of consumer.
The important reason behind bringing consumer protection bill was consumer movement.
Consumer movement was led by Ralph Nader.
Rights:-
Right to consumer protection: IF a shopkeeper gives a bad things to consumer and consumer has any risk or loss so consumer can complain about it.
Right to choose: Customers have the right to decide themselves as per their need and purchase the items of their choice.
Right to know: Customers have the right to know about the quality,quantity and rate of the items.
